The Light Beings
In the freshness of the forest
I like to think
there are beings of light
especially after a rain
dancing in the green scented air
some call them aberrations
of the digital age
but I think them not unlike
the perception
of fleeting flecks of light
seen against an empty sky
I marvelled at as a child
and was flatly told they were floaters on the eye
floaters they are not
rather they speak to me still
decades later
in hushed whispers
of the mystifying mystery
of the air we breathe
and the light we see
everyday without thinking.

Your deep awe and appreciation of all things natural and real is so wonderful. I believe I have seen them as well. There have been times I tried to follow them. But somehow they disappear and present themselves in a place I can’t reach.

I have written a few since coming back. Some John has written for me as I was so depressed coming back to Minnesota. There were new ones recently my dearest.

Really? Chi? I am so impressed by what you know. Will have to look this up. Chi is the same as Ki in Japanese? Perhaps that is why I became a Reiki master.

Yes, it’s the same. It’s known as: Prana, in India.
I have the first and second degrees in Reiki.
Good for you that you became a Reiki Master, I can see that you are gifted that way and it was a wise move to get it.

I saw those beings of light.
They are not flecks in the eye.
They are very healing.
I couldn’t prove that to anyone, but I know they exist.
And that’s good enough for me.

Thank you so much for your corroboration. I keep asking my husband if he can see them. Most people don’t talk about such things so I am glad to find someone else who sees them. Genie said they were “chi” so in that case, would be very healing. Thanks for writing!
