Oh Dying Lily
Oh, Lily
in the valley
of despair,
the devil’s lair,
thou seemeth to be shy
with your glossy, glassy tears.
One day we all must die
and we all have fulsome fears
of dying.
It is not
for lack of trying
your life to live;
it is not from sins of lying
or reluctance to give.
You lived your life purely,
always kneeling demurely,
and though your petals turn to crepe
your form still has a humble drape,
still praising He who made you
in your last living days
and inspiring us to follow suit
in your reverent ways.
lovely, lyrical, touching, thoughtful – you are a poet indeed

Mine is not pretty like yours is, and it is so hard to read sometimes I just make myself sad.

So many animals need help and there are just not enough people who care.
Or they care, but just not enough to get involved.
Thank you for your caring and support, I/they need it so much~

I know. I am fairly limited to online activism and my blog writing. But I admire those like you who are more proactive. I have heard of you before I think. Yes, I totally support you and what you do.

I have only been on WP for just 3 months, but my web site:
www. gator-woman.com has been online since 2008.
Your work experience is interesting to me, I was a Treatment Nurse in a Rehab/Psych Center in California.

Your website is just GREAT! I am going to refer my husband to it. He’ll love it, too. But seems to me I heard of Gator woman on TV–might be wrong on that. You have an interesting background. My experience is not just from work– I am Bipolar and have Asperger’s. My husband has Asperger’s, too, and works as a clinical social worker. How did you go from Treatment Nurse to Gator Woman?

Thank you for your kind words.
We retired to Florida in 2004 and the website then the Blogs and all that followed were a result of our love of our beautiful surroundings~

Yes, the same thing sort of happened to us although my husband is not retired yet. We bought a little barn upstate New York and fell in love with the place and the animal love/rights thing was sparked by our dog, Ko-ko, who unfortunately is no longer with us.

So sorry for your loss of your baby.
We both treasure our Breanna.
I was from California and he is from Ct., both are beautiful places.
But we are both better off down here.
