That quote is very interesting in that it makes me think backwards; as a drop is thought of as some sort of finality, and that it must “merge” with something larger; yet the drop may be actually the “essence”.

A great perspective. I suppose it all comes down to the context one holds as one looks at situations.
To me, as I see my own self in the same clearing as everything else out there, I gain access to being part of everything that exists in the world, in the past, the present and the future, in terms of a commonality of purpose. There exists no need for any merger then……
