The Web of Fears

Caught in a web of fears

full of wet tangled tears

been this way for years

of course there are triggers

that make fears look bigger

but it is hard to figure

a way out of negativity

a way back to levity

and to my old productivity

it is hard enough to fight

the dramas of mind with my might

without succumbing to fright

about losing you

tis true

fighting at once the physical and the mental

is far too much for a mind balanced so gentle.

  1. I so appreciate this one, Ellen–praying that your spirit is lifted up today, and your body and mind. God bless you BIG–love, Caddo

    • Thank you, Caddo, dear Bennetta! You are so kind. May God bless you BIG, too! Been reading your work and appreciating it– just enough ooomph till late today to write even many comments. Are you the same Caddo that had a blog that closed awhile ago? Confused. xx ellen

      • Probably the same–sorry for the confusion. I started out with the Caddo Veil blog–and then every time there’s big bump in the road, I bail, then start a new one. We all have our issues, eh?

      • Oh, no apologies! We do all have our issues. I felt bad when Caddo closed. I felt badly, too, that she applauded other people’s work so much and that maybe she burnt out. I tell my husband, too, not to try so hard it empties you. Hope you don’t mind me saying this– it is with concern. Sometimes, like lately, I find it hard to keep up. Lots of bumps in the road, aren’t there?

      • Maybe there is a place of balance, about giving to others–strangers on the blogs–but I can’t really find it. I tend to give a lot, and I rarely regret it–but burn-out does happen, and sometimes it has happened because I felt over-exposed–which is my own doing. If I didn’t invest so much, I’d miss out on some great relationships, so it’s worth it.

  3. An innocent plea of a child-like heart, who deserves much more but merely seeks “A life”

    • A profound comment, Arjun. Thanks for the “child-like heart”. So nice coming from you!
