The Stealth Kiss

Unseen by a background of fellow flowers

he rushed towards her purple petals

to plant the blossom of her bosom

with a kiss

blew a breeze

that steathily stole his kiss,

before she ever knew, sending it wafting

above the treetops to the forever fields of lost loves.

I do believe there is a field of lost loves. Thanks for reminding me; I’ll tell friends who are upset about lost loves about this field – it’ll make them feel less alone.
    Really creative, Ellen.

  4. Oh my goodness, I love this so much!! Definitely my new fave, here–it’s like a one-act play; and I write equally as much on the theme of lost love, as Christian faith. Great work, Ellen–God bless you BIG–love, Caddo

  6. It is only you who can weave a delicate and touching poem. The fields of lost love found themselves a voice.
