Dying, Lying Croci
This year the Croci
may die cause they told a lie
saying it was Spring
what they said don’t mean a thing

for Spring arrives on Friday
and what the weathermen say
this year the winter just won’t go
and they’re forecasting snow

Beautiful images and poetry. How dare those croci lie! No doubt they, too, will be sorely upset with the snow. I send you warmth.

Usually crocis don’t lie, Ellen, but seasons are really strange in the last years, even though we cannot complain at all. We had wonderful sunny weather, 15 degrees C, blue sky, wonderful. Thanks for your mail, will answer soon, have a wonderful day, warmest regards Mitza

Our seasons are all messed up too – it’s colder today than it was in most of the Winter. Hope you lose the snow soon, Ellen.

Sad story… the unpredictable factor in Nature, maybe the great extended Croci family will have foreseen this possibility, hopefully, and return renewed next Springtime. It’s so good to have a feeling from your posts of the seasons changing. Here it’s just like one very long day…

Yes, life without seasons would be a difficult adjustment but a simpler life. Love the transition from summer to fall and used to love winter until it became a time of sickness for my husband! Quite a few people have written about the seasons being screwy. The warnings about global warning are coming true. Even our arctic winter. This, too, was predicted. What have we wrought!!
