TRIUMPH OF SPIRIT IN LOVE, NATURE & ART

And the Skys Are Crying

RSCN3363_edited-1

The woods are crying
for they are bare and wet and cold.
Rain laps at the windows
as waves break on glass.
The last leaves fall
in this cataclysmic storm.
Relatives and friends hate
across a divide of evil
that each side sees
inside the other.
Fall is failing
as is our country.
We are in for a long
and harsh winter.

    • Thank you, Richard. Oh, Boy, if only this were just a very bad dream. It is so bad it seems a nightmare. I no longer know or like my own country!

  3. A beautiful melancholy here, Ellen. I know what you mean about the difficulty of relating across the divide, but I try to focus on reaching across through other topics, in other ways. I had to reorient myself a little during the Thanksgiving holiday, but all in all a warm-hearted time. The rain can soothe, too. And wash clean… Wishing you well…

    Peace and Love

    • I am not as big- hearted as you. Having trouble trying to forgive and forget a relative, not only across the divide, but regurgitating fascist propaganda to me as I reached out to show caring for him. Not the first time. Have been able to prevent the bars from coming down with others but this one relative is on lock down. Values and deep trusts have been shaken and I am trying to recover. Had to even go up on my medication the world was rocked so much.
Peace and love for your big heart,
      Ellen
