First of all, that’s a fabulous image of a reflection that appears to be in the eye of a horse. Secondly, congratulations on your 35th anniversary! May you both continue to nurture one another’s love. Thirdly, Namaste! 🙂

Hi, Nancy! Thank you on all three counts. You’re right, good sleuthing, it is the eye of a good-natured horse. Thank you for your good wishes. We are old so it is precious and bittersweet. Namaste!

Thank you! We got married late so are in our 70s and who knows. Thought of you when I read an article on reincarnation in… get this… THE Washington Post. And a friend in India told me BBC ran a similar article. I am studying Hinduism and we are in Kaliyuga. That is the time period of great destruction and evil. Sounds right to me but after that comes a good time like you had said. I know I am coming back though don’t want to. So complicated. Right now in this life I am terrified of November and of loss. Anyhow wanted to post the article but don’t have your know how. Take care. Better times ahead like you said. xx

You must be learning so many interesting things. I don’t want to come back either. Maybe I didn’t even want to come back this time. I think once we are on the other side, we FORGET what it’s like to be here, just as we forget what it’s like to be there. So we have no idea what we’re getting into and make the mistake of signing up for earth once again. I’m also concerned about November. Every election we get to vote for the least horrible person. Never for the best one. Well, we’re here and just have to ride it out and do our best. Again, happy anniversary. I met my husband when I was 14. We got married at 21. We were mad about each other. LOL

I didn’t want to come back this time. Told my mother I didn’t ask to be born.
(Just what every mother wants to hear i’m sure 🙂 Though mad about my husband and he about me, I am Bipolar and have wanted to die since young. I am so very sorry you lost your husband and son. The pain must have been and still must be awful. All I ever wanted to do was find love and I was blessed to find it at 35 but never thought there could be so much pain and worry in love though God knows had seen it enough of it in my parents. Yes, we have to make the best of this. Yes, lots of interesting things to learn. Have a friend in India who is also teaching me, my guru. Such a lovely person. Anyhow thanks for writing. xx

Gigi, you were very blessed to find true love at such an early age. But I am deeply sorry about your losses so early in your life. I know I will have to face it one day and that’s why I want “Moksha,” an escapen this seemingly endless stream of reincarnations. I wrote a comment agreeing with you about not wanting to come back here. Having the desire to escape since I was little. And wanting love since I was little. But I had to wait a Ling time and then found out how so much pain was involved in love. The Buddhists say that attachment is the cause of pain. It is but i want to live with the attachment. Have far to go to reach non- attachment.
Anyhow somehow I lost that comment. 🥰🙏🏽

There’s no real way to win at life. Everything is set up to stop us from getting peace and happiness. The only way is to become so detached that nothing matters. No attachments. So it’s a rigged game because we are made to become attached. Basically, the whole game is to not be who we are. I know there’s a joke in there somewhere, for someone, but I don’t get it. The world is filled with pain and suffering, from starving children to the destruction of the earth herself. I don’t see why we have to “wake up,” if we weren’t asleep to begin with. It seems like a waste of time to me and I agree. I don’t know what made me come here again, unless I owed someone a repeat visit. I do think we aren’t told the truth about what it’s going to be like here. I think we are manipulated by leaving the important things out. I’ve had a great life in most respects but the whole thing doesn’t make sense to me. It’s one dichotomy after another. It’s all like this…we are made to love sugar and it’s bad for us…that’s the story of life in general. We are made to want the things we can’t have. But I am here. Never thought I belonged here. Like you, even as a child I knew I was from someplace else and not here. I hope you find peace and joy where you can. I’m so happy you are well loved and have someone to love in return. That’s the best thing. But, nothing in life is easy. LOL It’s set up not to be. I refuse to play the game, however, and try to ignore as much of life as I can. It works for me. I just stopped caring about most everything…detached.

Detached is good apparently. I don’t know. I guess I could get detached… after enough pain… there’s no answer that I can understand right now. But detached is supposed to be good.

Celebration is so necessary to life! For you and Thomas to celebrate this mile-marker of an anniversary is a beautiful sign of your commitment to one another and your willingness to be safe for each other in all situations. You two love each other well–and even reading again about the eye-lock and the preciousness of connecting even when it’s difficult says so much for your consummate love for each other.

Happy Anniversary, Ellen! The constancy of love through the years adds to the heart’s inner peace in this life. My husband and I have been married so many years too. We met in grad school, and with the passage of years have come storms, turbulence, hurricanes, drought, hails, thunder, snowstorms, everything imaginable! It is a blessing to still be able to wake up still alive and still together. Best wishes to you and your husband!

It is shocking to see how many marriages and relationships do not last these days…In such a world of longing and turmoil, it is indeed very fortunate to have found an anchor in someone you can love with all your heart and soul!
I wish you and your husband many-many more years filled with peace, contentment and bliss, from your love 🙂 🙏🏼 There is nothing more meaningful in life, than to value and cherish all your blessings with gratitude 🙏🏼 🙂

Bonjour
