Confessions of a Distant Peeping Tom
A child guard, a tied curtain…
A single mystery…
Multiple mysteries…
Eeeerie figures…
Pink curtains (one pair knotted), flower pots, fans and pizza boxes…
A sense of history…
*
I always wonder
feel the drama
of
worlds behind windows
and
wish I could
peep into other people’s lives
not just from curiosity
but
in some effort
to figure out my own.
I love the second and third photos the best because I love blue the best!! They are so pretty!!
Thank you for sharing your gifts of photography and words, dear Ellen!!

Ditto. Late in the night when I look at lit window I wonder how many poets are punching the keys of their laptops to pen down another beautiful expression just like here!!

I really love the feel of these posts, Ellen. Your window photographs are so full of mystery and yearning, just like your poem. Me too:)

Thank you so much, Richard!! Means so much coming from you. The whole town of Saugerties, NY had this feel to it. Everywhere. Glad you are a distant Peeping Tom, too. 😉

Thanks for your mail, Ellen. Your new photos are exactly my taste. I also wonder who lives behind doors and windows. It’s good for our fantasy to look at such things and specially to see such things. Really wonderful photos. Have a nice week-end, warm regards Mitza

Ellen, these are intriguing pictures and poetry. Memoirs, I suppose, are one way to see the ‘secret’ world of others. It’s always a comfort to know that we’re not alone. When I see an old home with a well cared for garden I crave to know the story behind it.
