In Moscow, the colorful autumn has already passed. Now remnants of yellow still decorate the harsh dark green-brown landscape. This severity has its own beautiful beauty. And I don’t even know what inspires me more: the riot of color or the restraint of the last cry of autumn.

We, the humans, begin abstraction when we first speak a word for ‘something concrete’ as a child. All spoken and written affairs and all arts are a part of abstraction. Abstraction is not something disjoint from concrete reality. It’s a way to express how we see the world, how we feel the world and how we relate our ‘self’ with the world. For example, I love nature. This is something very subjective. Now I want to portray “how I love nature” and I want to express this subjective experience to the world. I could do a painting or I could write poetry or I could use photography as tools.
Sometimes I have very unique subjective experiences which I cannot share in anyway, then I drop all my tools of abstraction and go silent.

Amazing pictures, Ellen! The wonders that nature bestows upon us Animals as a whole, and trees in particular, delight in the changing of the seasons.
I just recently tried to track down your writings after a lengthy absence, and I am completely captivated by what I see.
Stunning images!
A breathtaking show takes place as the sun sets, bathing the world in golden light. Fallen leaves have turned into a tapestry of flaming reds, burnt oranges, and royal yellows, while the trees stand tall and proud in their October finery. The rustling of the leaves is like a natural symphony, filling the air with its melodies.

Unfortunately I cannot get out to be in it right now. The scenes I took are naturally photogenic. The place I took the pictures, Millbrook, New York is full of nature’s beauty everywhere. We no longer live there but it was a most beautiful time in our lives to be surrounded by such exquisite scenes! Thank you so much for your kind words. 🙏✨🪶🌿🍀🍁🍂🍃
